A Passionate Storyteller

Brenda S. Williams is a writer based in the vibrant and creative town of Montclair, NJ. She retired as the Director of Guidance at Montclair High School after 30+ years as a dedicated Guidance Counselor/Director. A former member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, Brenda was the Founder of Designing Steps to Academic Success, LLC. She has spent time as a member in the National Association for College Admission Counseling and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Brenda writes personal narrative, short story memoir, and analysis of current events with an emphasis on racial diversity and educational opportunities. She specializes in stories showcasing her lived experience on a variety of topics including parenting, relationships, marriage and family and aging.
